One production line, six sectors — configured to each application's rod requirement
FRP rods produced on JAE India manufacturing lines are used across six industrial sectors in India and export markets. Each application has distinct technical requirements — rod diameter, resin system, surface finish, and mechanical properties — that determine the line configuration.
FRP central strength members are the structural backbone of optical fibre cables. Every loose-tube and tight-buffered OFC cable used in FTTH, telecom, and backbone fibre networks contains one or more FRP rods that carry the mechanical load and protect the glass fibres inside.
Why FRP Rods Are Specified for OFC
Submarine power and communications cables operating at depth require reinforcement elements that combine high tensile strength with resistance to seawater corrosion and hydrostatic pressure. FRP rods are increasingly specified in place of steel wires for shallow-water and inter-island submarine cable projects.
JAE India configures line resin bath, impregnation, and curing parameters specifically for the higher fibre volume fractions required in submarine rod applications.
In high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, non-conductive reinforcement is required where steel wire would create eddy currents, galvanic corrosion, or electromagnetic interference. FRP rods are used as:
JAE India lines for this application are configured with high fibre volume fraction settings and precision resin dosing to achieve the consistent dielectric performance required for power cable qualification.
Duct rods — also referred to as cable duct rodders or microduct strength members — are lightweight, flexible FRP rods used in telecom and utility infrastructure for pushing or blowing cables through conduit systems.
JAE India spooling units are configured for continuous run without joins, meeting the requirements of telecom duct rod buyers in India and Southeast Asia.
FRP rebar is a non-metallic reinforcement bar used in concrete structures where steel rebar would corrode — marine infrastructure, water treatment plants, chemical storage facilities, metro tunnels, bridge decks, and coastal construction.
JAE India rebar lines are configured for standard diameters (8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm) and comply with ASTM D7957 and ACI 440 specifications. Custom profiles available.
FRP insulation rods are used in electrical equipment and power infrastructure where high dielectric strength and thermal resistance are required:
Line configuration for power sector rods uses epoxy resin systems with glass content optimised for dielectric performance. JAE India can supply rod profiles certified to IEC and IS standards for electrical insulation applications.
JAE India FRP pultrusion lines are also applicable for manufacturers producing:
